You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

So Surfers KNOW Tubes Have Stolen Content On Them But...

    Still watch them anyway....

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...0165215AAhdKlR

Seems one of the larger gay tube sites, DudeVue has been redirecting traffic or has been shut down and everyone who asks why, is basically told they are being sued for copyright infringement.

If surfers are already expecting the tube sites they use to have stolen content or be sued for copyrighted materials, why the hell would they want to have their IP address associated with the site?

I wonder how long it will be until Yahoo Answers takes that question down too?

    Regards,

    Lee

    Copyright dilemma...

    Hey Ya'll...

I have a blog that looks like a tube site which I use embedded codes for vid clips from various other tubes sites.

My question is this: Should I be concerned about copyright infringement if I'm using embed codes from other sites.

I'm really torn over the whole "stealing" issue. I pride myself on not be shading in my business practices and I am considering taking the site down (The particular theme I use is a whole lot of work to use) and converting it to a regular blog with sponsor content.

Right now I average about 130 unique visitors a day and about 900 to 1000 page views.

    Thanks Jay

Umm yeah. I see your site as a HUGE problem. It doesn't matter if you are only embedding their code, you've made the decision to not only promote stolen videos but sell membership(s) to an unrelated site in the process(BadPuppy). Plus from what I can see, you are in fact hosting copyrighted images that you have no rights to. I'm sure when BadPuppy gets wind of this they will suspend your account.

I just let XTube know about this, after I saw XTube videos "embedded". Hahahahaha, that is perverted logic.

Ummm correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that sites like XTube, etc...have embed codes for their videos so people can EMBED them into their own sites? Am I missing something here?

Each of the videos link back to whatever Tube site I got them from...

As far as Badpuppy...I was only promoting Badpuppy and/or other sites they recommend such as Dog Gone Video and Video Secrets.

Badpuppy as well as some other site owners have viewed my sight and not said a word to me. So I don't know what the hell the deal is.

Due to the fact that I felt hinky about the whole embedded video thing I drop the site and will put it back up as a straight up blog. It was way too much work anyway.

But thanks for your input. Jay

Those aren't the videos I was referring to. It's more the ones hosted at gayforit and others that appear to be stolen videos that you are using to make (or at least trying to make) a profit off of.

Glad to hear you're changing it. I think you'll find more success using sponsor provided content anyway. Good luck.

I think tubes are killing. i had a discussion yesterday that why people would pay for memberships or dvds when they can watch all of the trailers or videos they want for free. Im contradicting myself because I was asked to put 30 second clips on tube sites. With sites that give a slew of videos even clips a user can get off. I do. I don't and never paid for porn to get off because i find it everywhere free. correct me if i am wrong.

Well it seems to me that the fucking mess is stacked against us making any money.

This may be a bit naive, but how come sites like Megarotic, Gay for It, etc...aren't taken down?

I honestly didn't know what I was doing was wrong. I sent a letter to XTube inquiring about using there embed codes on sites. It will be interesting to see what they say.

I just gonna use my sponsor's content and see what happen's. I have a head ache!:crybaby:

you are promoting tube sites and linking to them from your site when it is very obvious they have pirated content on them.
