    Brand Marketing Manager (1800GAYLIVE & Chat Services)

    Play a lead role in developing and executing the brand strategy and role for 1800GAYLIVE and in the P2P chat services categories to meet brand specific objectives and ensure strategic consistency throughout the organization. Formulate strategies, determine target and messaging for optimal media mix, and influence and help prioritize product features.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Manage and participate in the development of innovative marketing programs, partnerships and promotions that drive member acquisition and retention and enhance brand equity of products.
    • Plan, develop, and direct regular (monthly/quarterly/annual) marketing and promotional efforts for the company's P2P chat brands to drive sales and usage.
    • Initiate and manage market research activities to gain market & product intelligence of the products' performance, customer perceptions, competitors' activities, new market trends, and new product and market opportunities.
    • Establish and oversee the execution and analysis of promotional pricing strategies and programs.
    • Ensure that the brands are clearly defined internally and externally, and consistently applied throughout all communications, advertisements and outreach efforts, and the product experience itself.
    • Assess the merits of projects and tactics designed to improve or expand product outreach, assimilate information from subject matter experts across the organization, identify and select alternative approaches and best practices, and build and implement plans within cross-functional teams.
    • Collaborate with the Product Management team to initiate brand/service changes and/or enhancements, and lead the business requirements for these initiatives internally, providing solid reasoning including ROI and competitive advantage.
    • Work with financial analyst to perform analysis on all marketing and promotions. Review and analyze business performance data and create tactics to improve performance as needed.
    • Work collaboratively with executive management and the Finance team to develop sales and member goals, budgets and forecasting, and to ensure budget compliance on an ongoing basis.
    • Collaborate with chief marketing officer on establishing and continually refining product philosophies and policies to ensure they support corporate ideology and service goals.
    • Create efficiencies within brand marketing through sharing and learning from marketing practices across all products.
    • Using familiarity with social networking applications, methodologies and tools, build, develop, promote and sustain compelling live virtual communities in telephony and multimedia environments.
    • Build affiliate marketing programs conducted within a variety of business models and promotional environments.
    • Manage and direct the day-to-day activities of any marketing and promotions staff.

    Education and/or Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years experience in the marketing or product management function within a service-based industry. Experience marketing to gay males, or in the casual dating or adult content markets is required. Experience with technology-oriented products a plus; particularly in a web and/or telephony environment. Equivalent experience may apply.
    • Detail-oriented with strong business analysis, strategic, tactical and diplomacy skills.
    • Strong work ethic, relationship building, problem solving skills, time management skills and orientation to detail.
    • Strong computer skills including MS Office products; especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
    • Must display superior written and oral communication skills.
    • Motivated by internal factors (i.e., learning & personal/professional growth) and external factors (i.e., outcome).
