    I Wonder? Top Rankings no traffic

    Guys I got a question and need some help/advice.

    Every place I read, web boards, e books, etc.. everyone says that having top 10 placement in major search engines drive traffic; however, I'm in the top 10 actually #2, in google, Yahoo, etc.. but I don't have much traffic

    what am I missing?
    what can I do to get more traffic?
    how can I increase my sites popularity

    It depends on the search terms you are ranking for, for example, a top 10 for the term 'sex' is going to give you better traffic than a top 10 for the term 'sex with random women' just because you get a top 10 listing, that does not guarantee you will get traffic if you are ranking for some obscure search term.
