approval to promote sites?

i see a new trend i hadnt seen for a while. i am signing up to promote various sites such as hunkmoney, collegedudes247, a couple others i cant think an my fingers now. but these sites want you to email them to ask to promote them then you have to wait for a yes or no answer. do you promote these kinds of sites where you wait for approval? im discouraged and with so many sites on the interspace i want to move on to the next program. i have a busy schedule so waiting for approval is a little rough. just curious thats all.

Well, fortunately i haven't meet such a program yet. There were sever when i had to wait for approvaly of my registration for a couple of days. But i wouldn't wait longer than that i think.

I have come across a couple of programs that do ask you to email for registration, it is a little off-putting but I suppose if you look at it the other way, they are actually doing a good thing.

By doing this they are filtering out all of the illegitimate sites and the ones that steal content, making sure that they are promoted by good, reputable sites... to me that suggests that they are very caring about their business and would expect any content mailers and/or dealings with them should be of a high standard.

Although I wouldn't wait more than a couple of days for someone to come back...

Jayden, we require approval of every affiliate that joins any of our programs. You may find this a pain in the ass, but believe me, since we started doing this we have been able to cut down on affiliate fraud by ~80%.

To put this into perspective, we also monitor every affiliate and check every sale to ensure that we keep fraud to a minimum. This takes 30 to 45 minutes every day, so please understand that this extra step that takes you about 2 minutes to complete (and usually only a few hours for us to respond and activate) is just a small contribution to the overall fraud deterrent efforts that we do.

Why do we do this? So that we can run quality programs that webmasters can trust will pay out on time, every time. We have paid out on time, every time since introducing out first paysite boymegaplex back in 2001. And given the state of this business today with affiliate programs not paying webmasters and going bust almost every week now, I would hope that webmasters value this enough to invest the few minutes it takes to complete the pre-approval process.
