I'm thinking about going. Is it pretty gay, or mostly straight?
I'd love to hear from others who have gone in the past. What did you get from attending?

Starting a few years ago - we merged the Gay Phoenix Forum into The Phoenix Forum and yet have a complete set of gay parties, events, late night suites and even a separate Gay Lounge for meetings and hanging. We also include very strong participation in almost every seminar or roundtable discussion.

I would estimate that the gay portion of the show has grown to about 30% of the show.

But the cool thing is that the non-gay market has become involved in the gay side - and there are a lot of opportunities across both segments for all.

But then again, I am little biased...any other input?

I've attended the Forum many times on behalf of a gay company and once on behalf of a straight company.

I have always found that the opportunities in TGPF for networking and socializing are far superior to those on the straight side of the show.

And, if you only go to one show a year, this should probably be the one you attend.

Heck... I might even be there this year, if I can snag a room somewhere.

LOL - let me get out my crystal ball...my psychic abilities have waned with old age...

Cost depends on where you stay, when your register and where you fly from... we can't really control that.

The registration is still at early bird rates until March 1:
    1/25 - 3/1 — $195 per person
    3/2 - 4/7 — $250 per person
    ONSITE — $300 per person

The show has full beverage and snack stations open all day, and a catered lunch is provided Friday and Saturday as part of the show pass.
And anyone who has attended knows the abundance of hosted bars at any given time.
Breakfast and dinner are on your own, as with most shows.

You can get the hotel (and Tempe in general) from the airport via light rail which is $1.75 each way. And downtown Tempe has a variety of restaurants and stuff of all price ranges - right outside the hotel (its a college town).

Those who have attended - what did I miss for Nick?

    Hi Mary!

The host hotel sold out the first day, as usual.
But the other optional hotels still have rooms.

Hotel Options for The Phoenix Forum - plus there is a SpringHill Suites right next to the Hyatt Place.

    As always!

I wasn't moving very quickly this year, but I'll be there regardless.

When a business markets a product to a consumer, costs should be disclosed. We expect that at Wal*Mart, and we expect that in the adult industry.

The value of a product has to be judged by its costs vs benefits.

If a forum or summit is being marketed to a worldwide consumer base, the sponsors know what registration, lodging, transportation and food and beverage costs are in their community in proximity to the event location.

It just isn't good enough to say: "come to our event, but you're on your own, survival of the fittest". It's all about hospitality. It really isn't good enough to say: "come to our event for 3 days, and we'll give you snacks for lunch, but we don't care about your health and welfare...".

    That isn't hospitality.

That darkens the reasons for and purposes of the event.

There's a huge industry built around hospitality.
