Blogs Organizer Question About Images / Movies

Those of you that use Blogs Organizer to manage and maintain your blog networks, where do you host the actual image or movie content you use in posts, on the blog domains/directories or on the BO installation domain name itself?

Have you found one method to work better than the other if you have tried/used both techniques?

Right now im putting images and movies on the individual blog domain names but im wondering if it might be easier just to upload everything to the domain that i run the main Blogs Organizer install from?

They have been storing on the domain that BO set up in.
I would like to store them on the domains in the content folders so I can delete all the files when I upload.

So far no problems with having them on a single domain yet but all them are small without much traffic (yet).

If someone can tell me how to get them on the blog's domain would be appreciated. I screwed with this very issue last night for about an hour.

I have to host images for the freehosted blogs on one of my own hosted domains, so it's going to be the same thing really if you use the domain with the BO installation to hold your images.

1. You will need to add into your htaccess on the BO domain all of your domains that you're allowing to hotlink

2. From an organization standpoint, you'll probably find using one domain for the images a lot cleaner approach, plus you know where to go looking if that evil red x starts showing up!

I think its better for SEO to host images on the blog itself, not the BO domain.

I was wondering about that, but are pics having weight as much or more than having the text on the site itself?

given that BO uses tricky htaccess to make google think the text is on your blog domain, I would think that hosting the images on the same domain would result in google being less suspicious and therefore not checking the BO domain. And I suspect this is good if you run a bunch of blogs, making it seem like individual entities.

I'm doing it this way, which makes no difference for my SEO as most of my posts are RSS-fed with most pics hosted elsewhere anyhow.

So are most of mine. But I'm also talking about the affiliate banners, and where I house those, if it matters for SEO ... (on the BO domain or the blog domain). I suppose it doesn't really matter or count as much as actual content imagery.
