Is there a Niche for this type of content. Rarely do you see sites with this feature.

I was wondering if anyone writes their own stories?
I have a lot of great sex stories to tell myself but don't know how to begin or layout a story of that type.

Anyone know a great layout or template for story telling??

Actually, you'll find a lot of sites use erotica to fill in as another feature offered to member sites, and on some free sites as well. You can purchase ready to use erotica from most content providers, as well as a number of sites that handle just erotica, including audio erotica. There are also several that offer plug-in story content feeds.

As to a layout/template ... you usually want a page that has your site navigation, and use an easy to read color combination. Don't stress folks out with 8 pt red type on a black background! If you have some content with a few pictures that fit the story, by all means, add a few here and there throughout the story page.

And I agree, a wide variety of GOOD stories are VERY sticky in terms of surfer retention, but you need more than just a few.

actually there are a few story sites out there that sell well - even though they usually look more like regular sites.

you can buy stories at web-legal.com - lots of inexpensive collections. i also write stories for websites as do a few other people i know. it's definitely a market as well as filler content.

I have a lot of stories on my site. There custom-written by a friend of mine. I don't really know if they're selling memberships — those pages never show up in my top 50's in the log reports. I should dig deeper and try and track them, but I'm really not all that concerned about it. I figured they're valued added and they're great search engine bait.

I've been known to write a few stories from time to time, but one of my writers specializes in nothing but gay stories.
