How Do You Know If You Need A New Laptop Battery?

Like is there a way to know if you need to get a new one because the old one drains to quickly or something?

The laptop battery life i have now is only lasting me about an hour and a half at a time before i have to plug in to the mains and recharge it, ive only really started using the laptop on the battery a lot in the past couple of months so dont know if this is good or bad?

Well when you use the laptop on the battery most of the peripherals such the hard disk, CPU and monitor enter an energy saving mode to extend your working hours. That's why the LCD seems dimmed down, programs load slower, and it takes longer time to run programs.

If your battery drains after an hour or so then its time to change it.
