Video Scrubber Software?

I am in the process of converting all my content into H.264 to be delivered in a Flash player. For most of the content, I have a good original file to convert, but there are some shoots where all I have is the encoded files where the quality is alright, but not stellar.

I'm wondering if any of you know about a software that -- just like the "sharpen" feature in Photoshop -- will take files and scrub them to increase the quality before I then convert to H.264? I am using Sorenson Squeeze for the converting process.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

MPEG Streamclip and ffmpegx for OSX do adjustments.

Actually the word "scrub" in video, or audio, means to shuttle back and forth fast thru film/tape/video looking for something.

Do you use a packaged scripted/templated member site? I'm looking for clues. Bec gave some good ones the other day, but my ears are still to the ground.

My entire site is all custom programed/coded.....so no leads on packaged member sites....sorry about that!
