I Need Video Specs for Paysites, Blogs, Tubes, FHGs

With quality and large files able to be streamed over the net now, I'm pretty much lost on just what "minimums" should be encoded for various applications.

What width/height for player screen, final file size, file type (mpeg, flash, wmv, etc) and bitrate would you use for the following, and would you make the whole movie file avail, or do it as clips, or a combination?

Tube clips (both ones you host and ones you put up for download for affiliates):

I'd be interested in this too. Is there anyway to find out these specs by watching a video from a paysite? You know how you can call up the details on digital photos with some programs... I was wondering if something exists for video files. There are some paysites that have great video quality that I'd like to mimic.

We don't have any knowledgeable people on videos? Is there any sort of industry standard for paysites or is everyone just winging it?

I've sometimes wondered if this is some of that "top secret" information that webmasters do not typically share, like how to find models, how much to pay them, etc.

Maybe it's like KFC not giving up the secret to their herbs and spices.
