Blogs, Link Lists, TGPs??

i'm doing some research on what kind of site (blogs, tgps, link lists) i should start and wanted to get some pointers/directions. i'm pretty new to all of them, so any input would be valuable!

i'm leaning towards blogs, but wondering if i should consider a link list instead. i have the least experience with TGPs, so that may not be a good choice right now.

wrt blogs/link lists, would you guys recommend that i have one site that i focus all my energy on? or have a number different sites?

are TGPs worth investing time on? are they still profitable?

like i said, i have very little experience with these sites, so anything you can add would be appreciated! i'm not looking for a "how to" guide...just some direction in my research

Lots of guys will tell you that tgps are not worth to invest in them anymore. Though i haven't tried to work with them but i heard that many times. Personally do blogs and they work pretty well for me.

Blogs are great; good for sales. Word Press is okay; I have two blogs on Word Press. I have heard that it is resource intensive. If you are going to do many blogs or use RSS feeds to the blogs, I recommend Blogs Organizer.

I do not recommend starting a link list. It was many hours of work to get it running correctly plus some custom php work, and I get perhaps as many as 5 submissions a day. However, now that it's been running for 3 years, it is good for sales and is easy to run.

I'd recommend a private tube site over a TGP site these days. I get lots of search-engine traffic to my tube site, and the users spend 5 to 10 minutes per visit. Only so-so for sales, though.

Yes, people can make money from blogs. You should be able to make enough to cover your hosting and start-up costs within a few months and hopefully grow your income beyond that. Just make sure you do blogs in niches you enjoy so you won't lose interest in updating them.
