A Decline In Newbies The Past 12 Months?

Has anyone else noticed a huge decline in newbie webmasters hitting the adult industry over the past 12 months?

I dont just mean on the gay side of the business either, it seems industry wide there has been a drastic reduction in the amount of newer webmasters coming online, specifically in adult but, im also noticing this in mainstream too.

Anyone else noticed the same thing?

    Regards,

    Lee

hmmm I dont think I have seen a decline. I was just thinking that there seemed to be a lot of new faces and companies at the phx forum this year.

I've never been to the Phoenix Forum, and I've been shooting for 25 years, and selling for about 18.

If I would spare the change to go next year, that wouldn't make me new to the industry.

Probably new webmasters don't want to take a risk cause everywhere on the boards old webmasters say that adult is dead and its better to look for earnings somewhere else
DIAMONDGAYS.com - fresh twinks and best ratio! Highly recommended!

Thats actually what i think we're seeing happen at a lot of the shows, people who have been working behind the scenes for so many years actually going to the shows to 'reach out' trying to pick up new business.

I know the first Phoenix show that i attended i met a lot of 'new' people but in reality, these people i thought were new actually werent, they just were not as 'visible' on the various industry message boards as others i 'knew' were.

For sure i`m noticing fewer webmaster coming into the business compared to 3-4 years ago. I think the adult internet business has matured. The gold rush days are long over. If you are going to start your own sites or blogs it takes more money and time to make any type of splash or make a full time income. I think there are still a fair number of newbies coming in, but for sure not as many as before. And those that do are part-timers looking to make a few extra bucks on the side.
