Summer Slowdown 2010...

I was curious to see what your folks thoughts on the 'Summer Slowdown' would be like this year?

Im thinking it is going to go one of two ways, its either going to be REALLY, REALLY bad and sales will pretty much stop across the board or, its going to be much better sales wise than years previous because nobody can afford to go away on vacation so they'll be more likely to stay home surfing porn.

What do you think the Summer Slowdown will be like this year given the current state of the economy in the U.S?

The sooner the industry gets rid of the Tube sites and other Affiliates whining for preview clips greater than a minute, the better. Too much is being given away to too many, for too little.

That and the big corporate Affiliate sites, that are leeching out 20%-50% of the Rev. There's little left for growth for content producers and hosting.

Canada put its interest rates up by 0.25% yesterday (to 0.5%), although its not a huge increase it is significant in that it marks a real turning point for Canada and the western world economies. If good news like this continues, I think we will end up having a strong summer this year.

Yep, they're here to stay. But if producers would get off their butts and stop ignoring the piracy in hopes one day they'll just go away and actually fight the pirating and actually send D MCA's to these illegal operating tube site bastards then I think eventually they would stop the illegal crap because they're hosts and site owners or operators would get tired of receiving the take down demands. I've spoken to so many producers who just don't care, it seems like they given up. While here at our offices we're in it for the fight and eventually they'll get tired of hearing from us. But until the producers will actually care about their product, piracy will continue to grow and the industry will continue to be ran down with all of the free stuff on the net.
