I think gay pride celebrations should be whatever they want to be.
Let your freak flag fly, let it all hang out, be yourself.
It's definitely not a time to stifle the fun and stuff it down like the conservative community would like us to do.
It's one time when people in the closet see other people doing whatever they want to do and being who they want to be. And maybe that will give them the courage to be themselves and come out.

If we had equal rights, perhaps society would then come to know all the GLBT that are amongst them and contributing. I applaud those who come out for the celebration to keep the fight front and center, whether or not it accurately represents the incredible diversity within the community. Thanks for the post Luke.

Haters will hate us no matter what we wear or do.

If these people make their decisions based on a party and parade then shame on them for their closed mind and lack of education.
