please check these videos...
there are two video clips in this folder. how long in duration is each one for you? my partner and i are getting two different lengths - one of us is seeing them well under 2 minutes, the other is seeing them well over 2 minutes. weird!

thanks!

I see the first one as being 2:24, the second one is 2:27.

Hey bass!
01.wmv loaded and played for 2:24
03.mpg loaded and played for 2:25
And as a professional, I watched them twice just to be sure :groovy:
LOL
Only thing that is 'different' is 01.wmv looped back and started to play again from the start each time I tried it.
Hope this helps.
My best,
Gary

thanks a lot! i feel a lot better knowing they're over 2 minutes!!!
my computer is the one seeing the videos at around 1:40 each - i wonder why... i have the latest stuff, but an old os on an amd. i wonder if that is contributing somehow to misreading the videos.

The old OS may be contributing to number it's reporting as the buffer. I had that on my old pc with Win98.
I tried it again (blush), and the play time on the MPG did fluctuate for me (played on Real Player). It jumped from 1:50 to 2:25 a few times but still played out to 2:25. I don't know if that means anything or not, but thought I'd let you know

Gary-Alan - if you like, i can put up all his clips for you somewhere and you can test them all :-)
can you please test other mpgs and see if their time fluctuates also or if it's only these mpgs?
thank ya!!!

Hey bass!
Ok I just did a couple and I played with these file again... (I didn't watch them this time LOL)
The mpegs I used fluctuated ONLY in Real Player and ONLY when they were over 10mb. It was only during play that they fluctuated. When they finished Real showed the correct play time.
When I played them in Window Media they all showed correct play times from the start and not one fluctuated for me.
Hope this is what you need
