google wave is officially dead

News from the google official blog:

Wave has not seen the user adoption we would have liked. We don’t plan to continue developing Wave as a standalone product, but we will maintain the site at least through the end of the year...

I never got into it, so its not a biggie for me.

yup, for sure, google tv is just starting and with new tv sets now being wifi compatible I can only see that market growing for them, after all it is pretty much the same "search" technology that is their bread and butter.
