This is an interesting study just released by a company called Chitika Research, based on data collected across their mainstream ad networks. And they break it down further, saying the Google App accounts for 8.68% of Google’s iPhone traffic, while the toolbar in Safari sends 49%, and 42.24% comes from the Google homepage and other minor sources.
This is a point in case for optimizing your mobile sites for Google!

Funny that you should post this, as I was just checking into which mobile terms were getting the highest numbers in Google. On a per month, global basis:
450,000 mobile porn
368,000 mobileporn (no space)
246,000 mobile videos
110,000 mobile 3gp videos
90,500 mobile video download
90,500 mobile x
605,000 mobile clips
49,500 cell phone videos
________________
Snagging some of those on page one would sure be a boost to the traffic count!
