My boyfriend has the first version of the air...found it very fragile and the storage too limited along with the limited port options. The new version does seem to improve on all of those limitations.

We both have ipads now and I would recommend one of those for an ultra-portability option.

As you might know, I have always been very outspoken on my dislike for Apple but I must say that I am very impressed with my ipad and use it daily.
