You should take a look at http://pornguardian.com
Dominic does a great job of getting files off hotfile.

    Holly honey,

Sadly nobody cares anymore but a few. It's very sad. Anymore with studios and producers it's as if perhaps, "you see someone driving past a stop-sign illegally. You say what the hell and then move on with your life."

Nobody does any action on it anymore and it's there loss. Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc. They all pay for security for loss prevention. Every business no matter what it is should have "loss prevention." That's why there are programs out there such as the FSC's APAP, there's a couple of others as well. You have to protect your assets.

I am in fact in full support of you taking the time out of your extremely busy day to post these things and frankly, more should. The more people that complain AND TAKE ACTION, the more we can soon gain back control of the industry.

I'm irrated here for a second and I feel like I'm jumping your thread but dammit people. You bitch about your sales falling, you bitch because there's so much piracy out there. WHY NOT STAND UP, TAKE ACTION, AND JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON TO TAKE CONTROL OF WHAT IS YOURS!

I see so much bitching and petty crap all over these internet forums and attacking each other. People, your forgetting we're an industry of one. Yea, there's shady companies out there. Those are the ones you tell to "screw off." The good ones... we all need to stick together. If you see someone's video, tell them. If they don't do anything, it's money out of their pocket and they are one step closer to going out of business and the industry becoming a ghost town. Piracy is only going to get worse, not better unless those give a crap.

Sorry Holly. I hope your not mad at me for jumping your thread I've been wanting to get this off my chest and I know I'm talking to a brick wall... But here's a bump for ya hun!

Actually, content producers and site owners care a lot, as you can see from various piracy lawsuits going on. Its just that hotfile is exactly the same as rapidshare and other file sharing sites, they hide behind the safe harbour laws protecting legit hosting companies (even though everyone knows that 99.9% of their content is illegal file sharing). These are not new by any means, but unfortunately, the only effective solution at the moment is to send these companies DCMA notices every day to get content taken down again and again.

However, there are some interesting lawsuits under way against the uploaders of this content (see this xbiz article) which may make it easier to stop this action in the future.

IMHO, I think the adult industry needs to publicly attack PAYPAY for allowing these sites to use them as a payment system for illegal file sharing. If we get something in the papers that paypal is being used to pay for illegal porn, its sure to kick up a fuss and eventually get their paypal accounts shut down. Cut off the funding and you will see action.

I'm not denying that Luke. Many don't. I've seen it and heard it. I was talking to a couple at the AVN show here in Hollywood and a couple comments I listened to were, "If I sat down and policed our content, we would go out of business because nothing would ever get done besides issuing DMCA's. You can't stop it." That tells me that they don't care. On the other hand it does make sense. To me it sounds as if they know it's there and they ignore it.

We actually on the other hand do spend 2 hours a week policing tube sites. We do it every Saturday night.

What I am saying is more need to take action. Take that couple of hours out of your work week, just browse around the tubes and habitual sites that have been announced for pirating on the forums. Take a peek and look to see if your content is there. If it is, go after it.

The sharing sites are the worst. We always look out for Emule. There's tons and tons and then tons of pirated videos on there from every producer imaginable.
