There is a new iPhone / iPad phishing technique that is starting to make its rounds. The new technique hides the real address bar in mobile Safari and instead shows a fake address bar.
Check out the attached image. The first frame shows the phishing site that auto-hides the real address bar. Only after you unhide the address bar do you see the real URL.
Unfortunately, this is a designed implementation decision by Apple to allow this to happen, and reports indicate that they will not be changing this decision anytime soon. So if you do mobile banking with your iPhone or iPad, you need to be extremely careful that you are actually at the right site and not a phishing site.
