I've been talking to this automated voice recognition thingy on American Airlines.com for like an hour now!!! I'm on the one hand horribly frustrated but on the other having way too much fun with it.

It's trying to get me to tell it my American Airlines Frequent Flyer account #.

But my account # starts off with "PBBV".

Me: "PBBV"
AA Robot: "PPPB. Is this correct?"
Me: "No"
AA Robot: "Please say your AAdvantage #"
Me: "P.B.B.V."
AA Robot: "PBBB. Is this correct?"
Me: "No"
AA Robot: "Please say your AAdvantage #"
Me: "Peeee...Beee...Beee...Veee"
AA Robot: "PVBV. Is this correct?"
Me: "No"
AA Robot: "Please say your AAdvantage #"
Me: "PEE.BEE.BEE.VEE!"
AA Robot: "PPVB. Is this correct?"
Me: "No!!"
AA Robot: "Please say your AAdvantage #"
Me: "PAPA. BRAVO. BRAVO. VICTOR."

Me: "Oh dear god give me a human"

naw it's just that "P", "B" and "V" are the worst possible combinations of letters to try and get an automated voice recognition call management software program to recognize :crybaby: :crybaby:

I must have broke it. Same thing happened to me tonight. I was on the Continetal AVR system check mutiply options to get me home on Sunday from Florida. It was pissing me off ,so I started to yell at the robot. I know I can be intimidating but damn.:army:


I spoke with a live person and the database is down.
