Posted this on Gaydemon...... Maybe you guys here at GWW can give me some advice as what to do in this case..........

2-3 years ago there was content bought from Maxpixels. The license said it was good for lifetime.
The content has been in use since.
A DMCA comes to us from our host from the producer who produced the content demanding us to remove the content.
I talked to the producer on the phone yesterday and he says, "You still need to remove the content. I didn't authorize it." I said, "It was bought from Maxpixels (I e-mailed him the license)" He said "I don't want it on the internet anymore, you need to take it down immediately." Then proceeded to hang up on me. (He called and blocked his number.)
Needless to say, the content is still up on the site.
Should I remove it being the producer wants it taken down even though I have a license?
Should I remove it because Maxpixels has shut down?
I'm not sure what to do.
I did send the license to the host. No response yet probably not until Monday.
