Went to check this out and here's some information in an article about the free software:
Another FYI --If you do want to sign on as a member of CNET, it says you can use your facebook user id/pass to login.CNET's offer is good until tomorrow, Dec. 28, at 6 a.m. PT. I don't see anything indicating you actually have to download or install the software by then, so you could always keep this until, say, your current security-software subscription runs out, then switch over. Whatever works for you. The only requirement is an e-mail address. The offer says it's "for CNET members only," but all I did was supply my name and address.
And Another: http://reviews.cnet.com/exclusives/?tag=mncol;txt Click on the buy now button and in the cart the price will be discounted to zero. Put in your name and email, continue and on the last page it will say 'Get Product Now' or something similar and click on this where you will get your serial key and download link.
