should i let blog comments?

I am still learning, I don't know if blog comments are any good or no good at all? I hope my new blog will get lots of interest but I don't want to have lots of links to other sites in comments all the time.

You can set it up to moderate comments. In my opinion the blogs that get the users to interact more become more of the successful ones. We don't, because we haven't got the time to moderate them between managing affiliate programs, producers, models, production, 50 sum sites, marketing, etc. But if you have the time then sure I would say allow the comments if you can moderate them.

I see a lot of blogs that after you put in your comments and click on -submit- a message says something in the nature of "awaiting moderator approval." From experience, if you don't moderate them then yea you'll end up in spam haven.

Personally, I have comments turned off as I run a few hundred blogs and, like PFLJayden, I just don't have time. But comments do boost your user interactivity, and keeping them on a "moderate before posting" setting does allow you to stop spammers.

:yeah: What he said ... Only blog I allow comments on is the Adult Blog Builder and that's because it has tutorials which can generate questions. I wouldn't have a life if I tried to moderate all my blogs. I figure the time that'd take up is better spent building more blogs. :icon_cool:
