What's the greatest sacrifice?

What's the greatest sacrifice you have made to be in this business?

I think for me it was travelling almost 20 000 Kilometres from Australia to Florida last year when we had our booth at Internext. The hard part was not the 21 hours we spent on the plane, it was leaving our 6 month old daughter in Australia with her Grandmother. It was the first time we had ever spent any time apart since the day she was born.

We were in Florida for a week and LA doing some business after Internext for a few weeks. In total we spent a month away from our little Princess. :baby:

I did lose a couple a friends that thought I took their ideas...site name, design and etc...

We'd been friends for nearly 25 years.
It was a total misunderstanding and it was another person who actually copied their site name and design.

In any event, they didn't want to hear about it. Just assumed it was me and just stopped talking to me, never called, never wrote anymore...no huge loss because if they were that shallow as to not want to hear what really happened, after beig friends for almost 25 years, then they were really not very good friends to begin with.

I lost guys that I was dating. They said they couldn't trust someone that was always around hot porn stars.

Something I don't get. I'm hardly ever around any of the "stars". I have someone that handles that for me. Even when I worked with ChiChi, I was hardly ever really around any of her stars much. Maybe getting something to drink while they where taking their break or smoking.

If anything, meeting these porn stars makes me want a nice, normal, quiet drama free life. Not sleep with them. Besides, I like the more nerdy computer guys.

I hate to say it, but I've got to be honest. The biggest sacrifice I've made: would have to be adding another 30 pounds to the old dzinerbear.

When I lost my job last year and launched my website, I did nothing except sit in front of my computer for months.

I hate how I look and feel. But my hubbie and I have started going to the gym together, so we'll see if we can't turn this train wreck around.
