    Best Piece of Advice

Every once in a while someone starts a thread where everyone contributes their one best piece of advice or tip. It came to mind because I'm overhauling a Euro uncut site that I run. Here's mine:

Buy content featuring guys that you like. You're going to be working with this stuff for a long time.

When I was starting out the money was tight, so I'd scour Ounique for sets that included extra bonus pictures.

Months later, I'm having to write copy about guys that I don't like, I can't stand them, I just can't find anything "hot" to say about them. I wouldn't have bought these sets if I could have afforded to buy exactly what I wanted.

Now, I'm wishing I'd spent the extra $20 a set and bought the guys I had really wanted.

So, what's your tip or piece of advice to webmasters new and old.

    Cheers
    Dzinerbear

    Don't use layers!

No really... I agree with you dzinerbear about using content that you like. Might I add, pick niches that you like and become the master of those niches. I know that many webmasters do all kinds of different sites... even straight sites... YUK! I can't do that, I have a much easier time working with and selling niches that I like.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

On the same kind of wavelength as Michael when you do buy content make sure you look at all of the possible uses for it.

For example using Uncut as thats what Michael mentoned, if the model it a twink, use that set on the following types of sites:

    Twinks
    Uncut
    Uncut Twink

Thats the basics but you can really use one set for a plethora of niches and i do still speak to webmasters who also think a set can only be used once

Kind of mainstream advice and not necessarily webmaster specific - but a clean office is an efficient office and set goals and then do everything in your power to stick to it!

My advice; Whatever your niche, be original, and/or be the best. The first and the best usually end up on top.

Where did that come from Tala? Is it one of yours or did you grab it from someone?

    Cheers,

    Allan

    I'm Sana, thats Tala *point*.

And yes this is one of my own. I am the hypoglycemic friend and Tala gave me one of those three foot pixie sticks once. She'll never do it again. :boom:

This is singularly the best piece of advice I've heard, particularly in regard to this industry. It becomes easy to be sleezy when working with porn all the time (there's a song in there somewhere I just know it). Rainey, and people like her, has been successful for a long time in this industry because of her professionalism yes, but also because of her strength of character and ethics. It's important to keep an open mind and be willing to change it when you think you should...but do not compromise your morality or ethical standards. Becoming a person you don't like will ruin you.

Well, having said all that...my own piece of advice...make sure you have no reservations about where pix of you will end up or who will see them if you're going to get fucked up at a tradeshow.
