While that figure may seem small, 2% of global net browsing is a pretty high figure. In fact, that figure only reflects the adoption of iOS in some parts of the world.

In others, the report found that that 2% figure rose. In countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, for example, iOS now accounts for roughly 10% of browsing overall.

Now that’s huge.


How huge? – Well, if you compare those figures to Mac OS X, you start to see that iOS is well on its way to surpassing the operating system for browsing usage, with that actually having already happened in the more wealthy parts of the world.
