Favorite Gay Themed Movie?
Mine is Get Real, an awesome indie film, I know it dosn't have a whole lot of depth but a cute comming of age movie anyway. The female friend is an excellent character she made me laugh myself stupid more than once. Particularly the fainting scene, that was too much and most of us can relate to having a friend like that.
Close runner-up is Trick (my bf's favorite, bleh on him) haha yeah I know that's lame and it has no real plot but Tori Spelling singing? Too funny! I love it when she yells "I'm not moving to New Jersey, I'm not a dyke, and where's the cheese on these fucking fries?!" good stuff
Honorable Mention: It's My Party - Margaret Cho, real issues, drama, comedy, life lessons, it's worth seeing.
The worst in my opinion? I didn't like Broken Hearts Club or hmm whats that one with David Alexander naked? That one was too much for me too.

Long Time Companion... the end makes me cry everytime.

Well I haven't seen much of it but what I did see of it was good.
"Hedwing and the Angry Inch."
Type O Negative covered a song from it ^_^
Transexual who didn't have a good surgen opens a boy up to his sexuality.
-
gah! I love Hedwig. That'd have to be my fave.
-
Might I also add Interview with a Vampire.
mmmmm, I always get pissed when Brad doesn't lay those lovely lips all over Antonio in the sceen where Louis leaves Armand to travel.
-
Since I'm a big fan of Robin Williams and Nathan Lane, I'd have to say The Birdcage. Funny as hell movie!
Interview wasn't really gay themed, but DAMN, so the subtle undercurrents get your blood boiling! YuM!

not really gay themed - more trans - but i love paris is burning, and the ending always makes me cry. and i love the original la cage aux folles, even with subtitles.
-
You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?
Im with Basschick on the Bird Cage both the original French version and the Robin Williams / Nathan Lane remake
Although actually one of my all time favorite gay movies is 'Beautiful Thing' set in suburban Birmingham (England).
If you wanna buy a good coming of age movie check it out

I hate that movie. I lived it in reality. So it hit me hard to the core. It does have real issues! VERY Real issues. If anyone does see it you'll know.

That is one of my all time favorites... I quoted that movie with friends for years. I still do even though most people don't get it when i say in a deep voice.. "Bitch."

i didn't mention torch song trilogy 'cause i figured it was more trans than gay. i not only love the movie for its own merits, but the beginning is shot at the old la cage aux folles in l.a. - my number one hangout of all time. how i miss it! roz and gypsy are in the movie - how i miss seeing them at la cage every week.
