    bye bye sun.com

    Oracle announced that it will be killing Sun.com, the online home of Sun Microsystems and one of the oldest dot-com domain names, on June 1, 2011.

    Sun.com is one of the oldest domain names and is even listed as one of the web's 100 original dot-com domains. Oracle bought Sun last year and has since wound down the former giant's corporate operations and online presence.

    Wonder what will happen to sun.com, I can only imagine that this domain would fetch a fortune if auctioned off, especially for uses like holiday travel agents, tourism shops or even alternative energy???

    The Sun newspaper would buy it, they have unlimited money, well sort off!
