Banner Question

Hey all!

Okay so I finally settled on a GREAT wordpress theme to create a "Tube" site. After too much time and money wasted I went with Black Tube. I,m not an affiliate or anything, just wanted to give the guy some props.

Alex has been incredible to work with and I highly recommend him to anyone who loves to work with Wordpress and wants a great tube theme.

Anyway I have a question for the pros about my banners.

I use HTML Rotate (Thanks, Luke) and as I signup with a sponsor(Thanks again, Luke) I add their banners to the rotation. now I have numerous banner locations (I was told the more the better, you guess it, Luke), but I want to know is this...

Is it bad protocol to have banner from different sponsor on each individual post (video) page?

I have included a "call-to-action" under each video player to the videos corresponding sponsor (thanks Rocket Tune) and also have included a link to the sponsors 2257 information (again thanks Rocket Tube).

Is that okay?

I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

I just have a few vids up for testing, so be kind.

When you use sponsor clips, you always have to have a link to the sponsor site (or usually, as per your sponsor's t&c). But that doesn't stop you from linking to other sites as well. I have seen some great implementations where the tube clip and its site banner are in the main section, then in the sidebar or below it are other suggested sites based on the video niche.

BTW, your site looks great, but I would just work on getting better thumbs as a number of them are cropped strangely, cutting off the model's faces.

Yep, I would see this as the same as a standard blog, where you give banners for various sponsors on the side bar, no matter what sponsor you're featuring in the post.
As long as you have a link to the sponsor being featured in the content that should be fine. I don't think there is a sponsor out there who would include such a demand in any agreement.

Luke I need to talk to Alex about the thumbs. I use thumb urls and then they show up funny...so

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't committing some type of faux pas with the whole banner thing, but I thought I was doing it okay.

xxlcock and gaykey banners at the top have some weird line in them at least for me it does, anyone else see this?

Thanks for the compliment. The two banners are just that way I don't know why, but they do attract attention though, huh?

I'm really comfortable with Wordpress. I've gotten to the point where I can pretty much understand/manipulate the php and css code, so I use it.

Due to the fact that I'm a bit of a nutbucket I have a really hard time with php scripts and what not. I have literally spent hundreds of dollars on scripts which I don't even use.

I found Alex's Black Tube and really liked it, plus he has been more than accommodating as far as working with me to tweek the site.
