is the summer slowdown starting?

We all know this is the time of year when sales get slow, traffic goes down and everyone is on holidays. Has the traditional summer slowdown hit you yet?

I've always just used these summer months to work on building stuff, take advantage of the slower times, lately for me at least the slowdown started long before summer started (my B2B stuff)

Ive noticed this last week traffic has become more erratic and took a general drop, however June is my best month for sales ever so im happy

I've been incredibly busy and distracted with a major renovation that we're doing (or rather contractors are doing for us) so not keeping up with business stuff as well as I should. Sales have held steady (thank god), but there's been a downturn in traffic. I didn't know if it was because I wasn't keeping up with posts or whether it was the summer downturn. I've never really noticed the summer downturn all that much in years past...

Below I've put two graphs - one shows the overall downturn in new visitors since March (not including referral traffic between my sites). The other shows the same thing just for Google organic.

Given that sales have been OK I haven't worried about it too much (you can only do so many things in a day)...

We have actually had a substantial boost in sales the last few weeks. Traffic is about the same. I am accounting that to some new affiliates I have with great fetish traffic though, and I am expecting the slowdown anytime now....

We're staying right on track. Last week's membership sales were FANTASTIC! About 25 sales over our average. This week is picking up nicely as well.

NOW, outside of our sites such as our studio VOD payouts and such.... That's down across the board.

So I guess it's an even average this month if you add it all up.
