Money Making Tactics - Adult B2B Marketing Tip

THE STEP-BY-STEP METHODS FOR COMING UP WITH MONEY MAKING TACTICS

By now all of you should be somewhat familiar with the distinction between the strategic and tactical components of marketing.

Here is the basic structure for coming up with money making tactical marketing:

    • Establish who is the target; who is it that is getting the stuff?

    • Find out where the target typically reviews the marketing.

    • Determine your best point of contact.

    • Find out what form other companies are using to market.

Now let me get to the details.

Point #1: Establish who is the target; who is it that is getting the stuff? The most important point is you must know who it is you are going after. Both the strategic message and the tactical plan depend upon this. I promise you, without this information you will fail – every single time. You can find out who they are by asking about:

    • Hobbies

    • Their typical schedule; work; play.

    • Generational difference

    • All that demographic stuff: age, gender, region, income.

    • The car they drive.

    • Where they typically work.

    • What types of neighborhoods they live in.

    • Their level of education.

    • Do they generally have kids?

This list can go on and on. Point is you need to know down to the finest detail that you can reasonably gather who it is that the marketing is going to. The first step in seeing through John Smith’s eyes is finding out who he is.

In what context? How does that relate to this post, just out of curiosity.

The context is yours: tactile marketing includes sending direct e-mail, and hotmail and gmail filter for adult content in message body content...

Well, here's my thought. As long as you're not spamming, I assume you're doing permission based email and following all the rules. So you need to encourage your customers to white list you, because you're sending them something of value, not just an ad. As long as this happens you're not going to have a problem. Make sense?

A customer purchases $50 of clips with his CC. I send an acknowledgement e-mail, containing the names of the files and download links.

Hotmail and gmail put them in the customer's spam box, based on criteria including: words and html links.

That's a toughie. That's more of an administrative issue as opposed to a marketing one I think. However I would look at the subject line and content of your confirmation email and make it as spam folder friendly as possible. Sometimes things will end up in people's spam folders no matter what. The good news is that most people realize that and check their spam folders these days.
