Kudos to Manwin!

I am not sure if you guys have followed the Anti-Piracy forum on GWW.

However, I want to thank the Manwin empire for their efforts in cleaning up!

Yesterday afternoon we had a lengthy conversation with Diane Duke at the FSC. She stated to us, "Manwin is really trying to clean up. The problem with them is they first didn't have the manpower to moderate the tubes as their focus was initially on their paysites and using the tubes to primarily promote themselves. Things have really gotten out of hand and Manwin does remorse in the problems of piracy and really does want to clean up and they are trying to."

We've verified this information with their designated DMCA Agent.

After speaking with them for an hour, we are helping them to clean up.

Our program "Combat Piracy Now" has tremendously taken a turn that we did not expect to happen and it seems as if it happened over night. Our program CombatPiracyNow.com was initially formed to contact studios, producers, and content owners to attack pirated sites with DMCA's. We helped the content owners by supplying sample DMCA forms. Everything was geared towards the content owners to hassle, harass, and demand their attention to stolen content.

After working with the Manwin group (Tube8, ExtremeTube, Pornhub, and XTube) hands on, we're now helping tubes stay legal or work towards that.

We know what kind of videos are copyrighted. When we're doing "investigations" on stolen videos that are on these tubes we have steps to follow. All we need is "reason to believe" the videos are pirated. There's about 10 factors we look at before sending reports to them.

Over the past 3 days, we have sent over 200 pirated video links to them. Every one of those have been removed. We work with them daily hands on.
We have the proof upon request.

They are truly trying to clean up.

I do believe they still need to moderate prior to videos going live. We are working towards helping them with that.

At this time we are working on moving outward of Manwin to other tubes.

Through working hands on with these tubes, they are gearing towards ONLY allowing homemade videos / movies and affiliate videos. We are encouraging them to becoming affiliates to sponsor programs. We all know Tube Sites only make money promoting themselves or selling ad space. We are "training" them to monetize their traffic rather than facing a possible copyright suit, the DMCA stuff, etc. So far it seems to be working.

I'd like you all to move your thoughts of hating the Manwin Empires to complimenting them on their improvements. IF at any time they stop working with us, by all means you should be aggressive towards them.

Its good to hear, I have had some good experiences with ManWin as well and its nice to know they are one of the 'good guys'

Interesting how you're taking credit for this. In reading GFY, it appears Manwin has been under pressure from the straight side (mostly) for 2 years.

Until AVN took over GFY, I was never able to read GFY, and even so, I am still awaiting approval to be able to post. I had never heard of Manwin until a month ago on GayDemon, when a member posted that his employer had been bought out, and a rain of firestones was unleashed from other members, that his employer had made a fortune stealing videos from studios, of which he then was an accomplice, then sold out to Manwin and went off on holiday.

I've been on GWW since 2005, GD on and off since 2008, GW, GMS, and Cybersocket all from around the time I emigrated to Hollywood in 2004. Never heard of Manwin by name until a month ago on GD. And that was a month before the Playboy deal.

I'm wondering what the past 2-3 years has all been worth, watching revenues move disproportionally to the effort put forth, and not knowing of Manwin here.

Remorse is as remorse does. It's time for studios to earn their worth from their content, past, present and future. In any other sector, there would be investigations going on into restraint of trade, fraud, racketeering, and worse.
