Firefox 6 set for Tuesday release

Looks like Firefox 6 will be released this Tuesday, according to Mozilla's wiki entry on its progress and final sign offs "Current Status: On Track with a few bugs still remaining. No concerns for Tuesday.".

The only outstanding bugs are:
- Bug 678470 - Update Firefox Desktop screenshots on Media Library
- Bug 677708 - Updates to the press kit for Firefox 6
- Bug 675967 - [Fx6Launch] IT www.mozilla.com support for Fx6 launch on 8/16

..and that last bug report shows the release date as this Tuesday! So get ready for another update.

hrmm..i just went to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/ and tried to download FF but its still pushing 5.0.1, plus the auto-updater says I am up to date with my version 5 too. I think I will wait till tomorrow for the official release, I have far too many things to do today anyway

I've been using v6 for a month or two now. Never really encountered any problems - at least none that I wouldn't expect in the other versions.

FF did the push auto-update to version 6 for me last night, so far its pretty much the same experience as FF5.

Hmmm, I had to update manually for FF6 for OSX Lion.

I am used to seeing a window every now and then, telling me that an update has been installed.
