    P2P file sharing

Has anyone here tried putting video clips from their members area on P2P networks like Kaaza or Limewire?

If so, had you noticed a boost in traffic to your site as a result? I can't think of a way of tracking that, but it would seem that if one made small clips available for download, it would get your name all over the place.

anyone have any thoughts on that?

I have all kinds of crap in there. There isn't a way to really track it. When i started it, I saw a little increase in the sites traffic. By looking in the stats under no reffer.

I would think that kazza and those type places would mostly be people looking for free shit. I know I use them when I'm looking at new studios for my distribution company. I find the studio name, then find a few clips of them in Kazza. Watch them, and the delete it. If the clips are good, I'll order their movies.

Yes and actually there is a way to track the traffic too

Encode the clips with a pop up in them that way you can get click counts whenever the console pops

First grab Windows Media Encoder from http://www.micro$oft.com

Find yourself a clip you would like to throw a console on

Open the clip in the Encoder

    Play with the 'edit settings'

    Save the clip

    It really is that simple

    Regards,

    Lee
