"Older Man" niche. (!?)

I was all excited about the new Playgirl issue that apparently featured "Older Men" in it. the guy on the cover is in his 50s, and H-O-T, but once I got the issue open and made it to the "spotlight on older men" I was a bit surprised to find that older men now includes men in their early 30s.

Which, by Playgirl's definition, makes me "Older".

So, for those of you who do niche sites, at what point does one stop being a twink and become an "Older Man"?

Is there anything in between, cuz i can't really see it if their definition is so thin.

Shouldn't there be a few steps in there from Twink to Older Man. I mean, whatever happened to the 7 ages of man???

Older to me is like 38-40... Early 30's is just get'n started...

Maybe I just want to push that "older guy" title back since i'm now pushing the 30 mark. (I turn 27 this year.)

Ok...fuck that "older man" crap for anywhere in the 30's decade...40's is even pushing it. I don't even think about calling anyone "older" until they are at least 50. I'm SO looking forward to my 30's it's not even funny. I'll finally be old enough to have some true self confidence, developed some skills and have a fair idea of what i want, am willing to tolerate and simply won't stand. (I'm hoping all of this will be true at least most of the time)

However, I'll still be plenty young enough to be a hottie if I want to be and have the energy to pull it off when I want.

For those of you who have been there already...am I just deluding myself?

But there are lots of steps between twink and mature...I don't see how the term twink can apply to anyone over 23-24...but don't start using older or mature till 50.

I don't really have that much of a preferance as far as age goes. I find that I look for different things in different people. For younger guys I dig the more alternative of punk type, but as far as good old fashioned leather play I prefer older guys. I have a Daddy I play with from time to time that is in his 60's. He's very sexy and man does he know his way around a dungeon. Woof! Besides, people in their 50's today are more likely to look and act like people who were in their 40's a few decades ago. People are living longer and holding on to their youth longer these days. It's all about what's in your head. I'm hardly your average 35 year old. And it shows. Most people don't think I'm this age when they meet me. I always say that I'm young enough to still get my kicks and old enough to know better. Heh heh.

i've worked the mature women niche for years. generally it is 40 - 55, then it becomes granny. some programs stretch mature to include 35. older seems to encompass mature and granny very well.

i'd love to have a sponsor with mature guys, but mostly the mature guys are either 30 or look like pro models - neither really captures what i think of when i think of older.

I've also worked the mature niche for a long time and on the straight side of things the trend of calling any woman over 30 mature came along with the ton of MILF sites that came out of nowhere and screwed up the niche (editorial I know). I have seen a 27 year old on a mature sites tour for a major program. Prior to MILF stuff I very rarely saw anyone under 40 called mature. Also, their has been a big drop in the availabilty of granny porn. In someways that is good because those sites that are out there have just become more valuable to the guys looking for it.

I agree with those stating that the mature or "older" would be guys at least in mid to late 40's and onward ... 30's - no way! Wondering if they included 30 and up as "older" because male niches seem to be twink, then stud/hunk which covers the 20's ... and no real general type niche that handles the 30-40 range?

well I see some sites and sell some dvds for older men. They are at least 45 years old. They normally are not very good. To me atleast. Normally older heavy men in jockstraps, boots, with cigars. I'm sure some find them hot, but just not my personal thing.

There really isn't much older guy stuff that isn't those type guys. Well none that i've seen myself.
