Chrome tops Firefox as #2 browser

Browser stats for November from StatsCounter shows that Chrome has successfully toppled Firefox and has taken over the #2 browser in the world.

The attached graph shows Chrome's steady battle over the last year that has resulted in its 25.69% market share in Nov, compared to Firefox with 25.23% and Internet Explorer with 40.63%.

Interestingly enough, IE actually gained in popularity last month by about 1/2%, the first time for IE to gain popularity all year. Other browsers had minimal changes in popularity.

Are you testing your sites in Chrome, IE and Firefox?

    About time.

I've been using IE9 since about 2 months, it's like night and day from previous versions, though there's more room for improvement.

I'm noticing that Chrome is starting to exhibit the same issues Firefox started to have as development went on - flash constantly crashing everything. I stopped using it suddenly when we started to look for rentals and I kept several tabs opened. Some sites like Trulia and Zillow just killed my pc with tabs eating up hundreds of MB of ram each.

And my boyfriend is constantly bitching at me Chrome is freezing his whole system.

I don't know if Chrome is winning based on mindshare though, Google is advertising Chrome a lot even with regular ads across sites in their network, it's bundling it with the toolbar or linking to it in any way they can
