You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

    What About Bisexual Sites?

Would you say that is more of a gay or straight market niche?

I have mixed feelings about it personally as i think it depends on whether the sites features bisexual men or women.

Would you include that in a gay portfolio or not?

    Regards,

    Lee

I wouldn't consider bisexual sites as a part of the gay market really. (When I do a search in the MANcheck search engine only 31 sites use the word Bisexual in their site description.)

I might be generalizing a bit here, but I personally feel that once gay men accept their gayness, they're interested in seeing cock. I think bisexual sites cater to those guys who are either confused or in the closet or are scared of someone finding gay sites on their computer.

Now before y'all jump all over me, I do believe that there are real bisexuals out there. I just don't happen to believe that many of the men who claim to be bisexual really are. I always have believed, and still do, that it is a step out of the closet to see what the air's like.

I'd market bi sites with the straight crowd, not the gay one.

    Cheers

    Now with that being said..

As they have already stepped out of the closet and purchased a membership to a 'bisexual male' site would it not follow suit that they could then be sold a full on gay site membership?

    Lee,

I don't believe that a guy who has purchased a membership to a bisexual site has actually "come out." I think he's still in.

You make good points designer bear. I know a fair few bisexual guys and a few gay guys. My best bud runs the first bisexual (for men) sites ever to hit the net. I have hung out in chat and been rather curious about the bisexual male for quite some time. I can say that there are a shit pile of men who are sexually turned on by men and by women. There is such a range though, some bisexual men are in gay relationships and used to be married to a woman. Vice versa. Because a true male male female relationship is nearly impossible, a bisexual male chooses a companion either from the male or female side. Alot choose the path of least resistance and find themselves married to women. They are equally turned on by women so why bother coming out?

What I also find is that alot of guys were married, had the 2.5 kids and had a gay experience when young. That experience has played on them, they didnt totally forget it. So in their 40's or so they are finding themselves divorced, starting over, experimenting etc and going for the bisexual experience. I would call that "checking it out". I imagine that its a great fantasy and the real thing may or may not be all that great for them.

There is the other thought that for these men having a woman in the picture means they are NOT GAY. Just as fucking a tranny means your not gay.

There is so many variations of peoples desires that you cannot answer any of this with a simple yes or no.

I would market to your gay traffic....just as you should market for women sites in your gay traffic. Why lose a sale?

I think DZ's idea of marketing bi sites to straight is on the nose! I don't agree that bi is a 'stepping stone' to gay, I know several people who are bi-curious, but they would never be gay since they geniunely like straight relations, but they are willing to play every once in a while.

Think I'd agree that Bi sites are for the straight market, but it never hurts to toss a link to one in your gay link lists sites. I'd use caution about using a thumbnail though, as I've been told that some gay men upon seeing anything remotely female on a gay site book on out of it.

I know a lot of gay men that can watch straight porn and be turned on by it. I for one love bi/straight guys. I have no problem looking at or being turned on with bi porn - MMF.

Personally, I think bi is alsmost a market in itself. But if we had to choose a either straight or gay - i would promote it to gay men actually.

While working for cruising for sex we have had some bi-sexual sites that advertised on the site that pulled good traffic. I think it depends on how the site is done and if the movies focus is on the guys or the girl as well. So usually when it's 2 guys and 1 girl they are going to perform better on gays sites / gay markets. Nobody minds watching a little pussy if you got two hot guys involved!

The site I am thinking of is www.straightboysfucking.com

    :groovy:
