Streaming Video

If you encode in .wmv (windows media) in most circumstances, the video will play while it's loading... is that's what you mean by "streaming" but the quality is not the greatest.

Hello, I heared my name. What format are the videos? It depends on how you would want them to be delevered. Most videos can be streamed with an active x controle from MS. Works in IE and Netscape.

There are other ways to do it with java. I use java on my live stuff, but media play for recorded stuff. Right now I'm testing a javabased streaming system, and it's working, but there aren't any controles for sound or to move forward or back in the clip.

If I'm thinking about this right, it's like a fancey way of just letting the user download the video. Yes it seems like streaming because it plays right away. However there isn't any push behind it and it's normally very choppy and looks bad.
