    kissthatboy . com

I'm curious if anyone does business with kissthatboy . com ?

At the end of Dec, they bought a couple of eBooks from my site, digital download.

A month later, I get word from my processor that they caused a chargeback!!

Before they bought, we had a couple of e-mails back and forth... but none since the purchase. I called my processor, and they said it is highly unusual of a customer to do something resulting in a chargeback without first contacting the merchant for satisfaction.

The bottom of their main page says:
Copyright © 2011 Monstah Media. All Rights Reserved.
Kiss That Boy WordPress Theme Created By RDude - © 2009 - All Rights Reserved

It was a $4.95 sale, with a $15 CB fee. Highly unscrupulous from within the industry. What a pain. My processor said that since they are in the UK, WebBilling would be contacting them! WOuld be interesting if WebBilling saw a connection between them doing this as a customer, and if they are also a merchant themselves!

I think the bottom line here is: if companies give their employees a credit card to use on-line, then refute the charges, that creates a huge disaster.

Perhaps businesses instead of giving the bank account credit card to employees to use, should go to the store and get a re-loadable debit card, like WesternUnion, and put $100 £100 100E on it, and call it what it really is Petty Cash.

But refuting a $4.95 charge becomes $25-$30 with fees, and that just sucks.

Im now in contact with Nick to resolve this.

Ive also expressed a few frustrations as it really does annoy me when people run straight to the boards with an issue rather than allowing companies/individuals time to deal with a problem and resolve it. All it does is create unnecessary drama over nothing.

    1) I did e-mail the info@k t b address which did the purchase, with no reply. The blog hadn't been updated since October, when I checked the day I got the chargeback notice from my processor.

    2) There is no knowledge base here (on GWW) of who owns what, who manages what, who has their name on what because they have day-to-day working role with this, that or another.

    3) Both GWW and GD frequently have threads where members are looking for site contacts, because using known contact links do not (always) work, or result in replies. Or, because they are too impatient to look.

In my case, it wasn't about a "fast enough" reply, but rather a no reply at all from a site that hadn't been updated since early October 2011.

Everyone knows I am an old, one-man shop, casting, filming, producing, selling - single-handed (most days I use both hands). A $4.95 sale that results in a $25 chargeback is a serious hit to anyone.

    Nick,

You sent an email to us on the 8th and then posted on here on the 10th. Id hardly call 48 hours "no reply", in my books thats impatient.

Anyway I have no interest in being involved in a drama thread with you. Ive emailed you offering to resolve this (before I posted on here), so far no reply, but yet you chose to come back on the boards and write another post rather than reply to my email. I rest my case and stick with the comment I made before.
