gamma's toolbar caused me to have to reformat my machine. their sales rep assured me that it doesnt install anything except the toolbar, so i went ahead & tested it out. its actually pretty handy. but then suddenly i had adware out the ass. i used every program under the sun to get rid of it, and it always came back. finally after spending hours upon hours and 100's of dollars i just formatted the machine.

if thats what youre gonna do to your surfers, dont expect them to ever buy porn again.

of course i cant prove anything... but it was the only program i downloaded & installed that week, as i was traveling. i also didnt do any surfing, so i dont think it could have been an autoinstall... also, the problems didnt come up until i uninstalled their toolbar... so... hmmm... 2+2 often = 4

i had the gamma toolbar autoinstalled on me one day while surfing and even after uninstalling it via add/remove programs, I had a whackload of spyware still on my computer, plus loads of dialers and redirects within the registry. It was a real bugger to try to remove too. So you are not alone Dawgy!

damn that sux... what really pisses me off tho is that the account rep at gamma swore to me it wouldnt install shit... she encouraged me to install it on my pc to see what my surfers would see... i actually considered suing them... probly lost a couple grand in downtime plus costs of software i had to redo..
