    Moving is a bitch!

So, 3 years ago I moved from Indiana to Pennsylvania to be with my "boyfriend."
3 months after that we moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL because that was our "dream location." Boy were we fooled.
Anyways, last year today (Memorial Day) we moved from Fort Lauderdale to Palm Springs CA.
Now, we're staying put in California.
    But we're moving again.

We're currently paying $1600mo for a 2 bedroom house, big back yard, etc. Being that our lease is up at the end of June and with our non-porn business we need a bigger property so that we can get a kennel license from riverside county so that we can board dogs to train them.
We found a GORGEOUS 4 bedroom house to die for. It's on 5 acre's of land. It's just HUGE! It's landscaped beautifully. It's on the mountain. Words cannot express how much we love this house.
AND it's half the rent of what we pay now. It's 2 cities over in the middle of nowhere in beautiful country land.
The nearest house is a mile and a half away! If we decide to film again, we could do it outside and nobody could see.

But damn, moving and packing is a bitch!

I know what you mean - a month after we moved there are still boxes everywhere...

I don't want to move again for YEARS.

I gotta say I was amused by the rents you're paying... $800 for a 4 bedroom? Studios/Efficiencies (0 bedrooms) cost $1400/mo in my neighborhood - and I'm not even in the expensive part of Manhattan - in TriBeCa you can pay over $4000 for a studio. But the thing about Manhattan real estate is if you buy in the right place at the right time when you sell you can earn more than you paid in mortgage and maintenance...

I always say I will not move again. And I do.

Sometimes, when you absolutely must, there is at least the respite of an excuse there... but when you do it against your word because you want to, because the new place is better, you just wanna bash your skull against the wall...

But damn, you have such a good deal... I couldn't even think of bitching. Too many bedrooms?

    Ahem. Pics, please...

BTW this thread is meaningless without pics. Five acres? Groundspace?

Moving is never very much fun. Unless you're moving to Monte Carlo.
