LCD monitor - Im lost

I can't pick one

Im seeing 16 million color maximums and something about 6bit, 8bit colors.


Which ones are you boys using?

Pick the highest bit for the most colors. I'm using 24bit on mine.

Actually in all honesty i dont really bother with monitors and stuff as long as i can see what im doing thats all i care about.

I have a TV tuner and I've read LCDs have problem with colors.

I want an LCD with all this moving chuging my monitor around is no fun at all

The other thing to be careful of with LCD monitors is the warranty - ususally the easiest way to pick the highest quality one (normally referred to as a pixel policy) most don't offer over twelve months and if you lose specific pixels after that you're stuffed.

Some good lcds come with three years - last time i checked and this is probably the easiest way to pick the new monitor that you're after.

i kinda like the samsungs 173 series they have 8 dead pixels replacement policy on it

im going tomorrow to the stores to see how they all look and pick me one maybe
