Check It Out New Aussie gay company set to release. More ????? to be answered by a professional

Hi guys, I'm a trained film maker who is combining my love of filming and porn and have started an Australian based production company. My work so far has been described as excellent quality and I am now ready to begin my first real production. What I am trying to decide on is whether to start my own site or to sell my productions to existing companies. While I am aware my royalties would be minimal selling exclusive rights to a site other than my own it is one less logistical issue to deal with. Alternatively I would hire someone to take care of the internet / billing side for me. Funding for the company has been privately offered based on rough footage I have shared.

Ideally I would like to produce and then sell, as to be able to begin work on the next project rather than dealing with banking / accounts etc.

This is a legitimate company with funding, professional equiptment and models all waiting to go. Just need distribution advice.

Hope someone can help, detailing pro's and con's of each option. Below is a letter I have been sending to various porn companies.

    Cheers,

Well if you didn't have funding in place I would suggest that you sell content to others so you can make sure this is something you want to do and can make money at it, then launch your own site later. But if you have funding lined up then you can jump right into doing a site, as long as you don't mind the funders looking over your shoulder and/or expecting a quick ROI. I think funding is the biggest obstacle for most people starting an adult site. You always need more than what you think you will need.

I have the funding. While the production values are excellent it's the website maintainance etc that I'm still unsure of. Hoping to just sell the first few films to an existing site before launching my own.

Do you know of any sites that buy productions from Australia or internationally?

    Cheers

Hi there, scenes with young twinks being fucked by older more muscular guys. Our vids have a strong emphasis on dominance and submission. We will be opening our own website aussieBBproductions in 12 months once the catalogue is bigger. At this stage all professional equipment and models are in, just need a distributor. Would you be interested?

    Cheers

I don't watch twinks be fucked by jocks. That's abusive and demeaning.

I like jocks in the locker room or shower doing oral or sporty anal. Jocks don't suck dick or get fucked, they service their buddies. I'd consider some of that - including photos for my eBook line, with or without watermark for traffic back to you.

Oh bull crap Nick. That might be your opinion. But I have to say I take the 180 degrees opposite opinion of yours.
    After all, this IS FANTASY!

Back to the question you asked, I strongly believe you should not sell your rights to another company. Hold on to them! For now at least. You may find that if you sell now, you will regret it in the future. But see how it goes for now and you may find you have NO NEED to sell your rights at all!

If you have funding then why not just hire someone to do the website for you, or at least set it up? I'm sure there are people on this forum who you could hire for that.
