Seems despite years of relaxation on the porn front, the Brits just cant seem to shake off their obsession with so called "decency".

This stupid prosecution should never have reached the courts as all the acts were -although some may say rather of bad taste -not illegal, even in UK-so prosecution was doomed from the outset.

But the poor guy although not guilty now, had his peculiar tastes exposed for all the world to see-Not to mention he lost his career as well !

The recently-introduced law makes it an offence to possess “an extreme pornographic image”, which is “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character” and depicts an action that is either life-threatening, or likely to result in “serious injury” to a person’s anus, breasts or genitalia.

This is so open to interpretation it's ridiculous. A right-wing Christian fanatic would find ANY pornography "grossly offensive", while the majority of sane people wouldn't.

From what I've read about this case, the guy now has the opportunity for a counter claim of harassment and slander, as it's widely believed that this was a vendetta case brought against him.

He could even claim that this is a hate crime, being persecuted for legal adult content simply because he's a gay man in the public eye.

This kind of case makes me hate living here. The country is corrupt from the top down. Unfortunately, I don't think many other countries are any better.

Not entirely correct, other countries are far more tolerant, Holland and Germany spring to mind, although its gone a bit downhill there as well.

Anyway I decamped to Dominican Republic, they are so laid back here, it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, nobody gives a shit about anything and you can do what you like -within reason of course- plus very beautiful boys ... or girls if thats your bag :-)
