    WTF? Free Site Need HELP!

I made a free site to try to fund my projects, and so far it hasn't made shit!

    Huge & Uncut

Anyone have any advice on what I can do to actually make a sale or two?

Well, I would say from looking at it that the site would need more traffic. Doesn't seem to have any links. You might also want to add more text to it and try for some search traffic.

It's not the content, because that is pretty freak'n hot. Maybe it's the sponsors you picked? (Don't know if that would be it, but I know randy's site converts well.)
You'll get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 then you'll get with just a kind word.

make some one page wonders... primarily all text...
with appropriate Keywords... linked to the site

and get those pages listed in the SE's

make a hub page for all the url's to all your 1-pagers
and stick that hub page url ON the site you just showed us...

    good luck...

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Well as i know the Stud Money sites you are using on the site do convert for 90% of our affiliates i would have to say it is a trafic issue.

Looking at the account in all honesty the amount of hits being sent is nominal so i would work on getting the traffic levels up personally.

Build some free sites, some tgp galleries and submit the to the appropriate traffic sources and you should see your overall conversions increase

hi jay looking at your site id say the content is fine im pretty new to the gay niche usually working on straight or fetish sies i would agree with what bell and andy said add a few bits of text around your pages another thing is you might be giving away to much content surfers wont join the sponsors if they can get what they need of you
you can take a look at my sites if you want the majority of my traffic comes from link exchanges
    http://www.mohoneys.com
    http://soiledcotton.com

trading is vital for pr and always helps with traffic ive just started http://real-gay-porn.com which i can trade links with you

your site looks great though so the more traffic means a better chance of making a sale:groovy:

According to my StudMoney stats I have a 1:1,254 sales ratio.

So I guess my goal should be to try to send studmoney 1,000 hits a day and hope for a sale a day. At $15 a pop that won't pay the bills, but it would be damn nice!

You definitely need to increase the amount of traffic you send in daily. And that's to any sponsor program. Most of the webmasters sending in 100-200 hits a day make a sale or two a day. Go under that then you're playing a wishing game.

I have no money to spend on site promotion, and the idea of playing the TGP game gives me a headache. I guess i'm sca-rewed. Back to the drawing board . It's not that i'm not willing to put work into something, but flipping burgers honestly sounds more fun than the "mass produce, repeat" process.

When people say this to me all I can do is laugh.

Why is it that people come into this business thinking they can make money without spending any or doing some old fashioned hard work.

Can you imagine someone opening a flower shop or shoe store and telling you that they don't plan on spending a dime on promotion and think licking stamps and sending out flyers is boring and repetitive work so they must be screwed? Good grief.

I spend a lot of time helping people make money with adult websites and enjoy helping newbies, but I have zero tolerance for the ones that bitch that they aren't making any money and then admit that they aren't willing or can't afford to spend any money and think it's too much trouble to work the TGPs, do SEO, develop trades and all the other things the rest of us all do.

If you know anyone that doesn't spend any money and doesn't do any work and still makes money in this business, please tell me who it is so I can become their friend and hopefully find out their secret.

P.S. I think you misread his post Gary-Alan, because he said he's converting at 1:1254. If as you suggest he was sending 200 hits a day and getting 1 signup a day, he would have had 6 sales.

1:1254 is pretty poor unless all the traffic he's getting is coming from TGPs and somehow the galleries he's using are misleading and people click to look at your sites thinking they are going to get to seee some more free pics or something. It sounds like a converting problem rather that his lack of traffic.

I didn't misreading anything. I didn't want to get into the details on the amount day/months that the number entailed. Re Read what I wrote and you MAY get a clue to what I'm alluding to.

    Don't assume.

p.s. on your content for SoiledCotton.com
do you produce that yourself, or purchase it ??
and - if you do purchase it - do you happen upon
sets that are so PERFECT for your domain name,
or do you request those panty props and poses
    to the content provider(s) ??

    Hammer,
I'm not "comming into" this business, i've been doing it as a sort of hobby since the mid 90s and seriously on and off (mostly off) since 99. I HAVE put all that work into it, built up an empire, and let it die. I was making enough to make ANYONE happy too, without ever spending a penny. The market has changed though and i'm not willing to go through all that again anymore as I have ADD and can't make myself do something I despise.

I was referring to TGP anyway, not SEO or traffic trades!

And that amount of traffic was sent over about a 5 month period. I didn't realise that made a different, but obviously it does. The traffic more or less all came from BD's JG site and a few other random places. (so yeah I guess you could say it was TGP traffic) thus turning me off even more to the idea. I'm thankful though, without that traffic I would have made nothing!
