    Onthehunt pirating content!!!

I am alerting everyone that there is a pirate amongst us profiting from us! The OnTheHunt webmaster program released their new site: PostHim.com

We've found dozens upon dozens of our videos on their new site.

    I'm bringing this public!
    They have been contacted!

    Pirating Pricks!

I'm sure it's all just a mistake. The pirated stuff was uploaded by users and they were not aware of it.

After all it's in their rules that... "you are the owner of the video and have a legal right to submit such video."

Hey, it's working for Rapidshare, so...

Thanks Attis. You are correct in that posthim is a user submitted content website and we are trying very hard to make sure it does not contain any pirated content by asking for ID scans and non exclusive signed releases from submitters but unfortunately there are some videos that slip through the cracks.

PFLJAYDEN emailed us a few nights ago and we got back to him within 5 minutes of receiving his email and once he identified the videos in question (5 in total..not "dozens upon dozens" as he mentions above) they were removed instantly.

We knew having an amateur submitted content website was going to have its challenges but we are going to continue to revise and refine our submission process and will continue to manually check each and every video. We are also shopping around and looking to purchase amateur content (if anybody has any please let me know) as well as shooting our own.

Male Revenue (onthehunt, fraternityx, maverickmen, straightmen, parolehim, and posthim) has a solid industry reputation that we work hard to maintain but with new ventures like posthim comes new challenges that we hope to both meet and exceed to retain our solid and good standing reputation.

I didn't see PFL's Sebastian Studios work on your site either, and I didn't see any of my work - although a couple of my DVDs and eBooks have made it to Usenet news groups, and while I can't get those titles removed from Usenet, I have removed them from sites that index Usenet, and "sell" downloads of Usenet News files through CCBill and DHD/CommerceGate.

But clearly, videos on your site are very "produced"... some even more "produced" than what I can do on the road shooting in hotel rooms. They are either affiliate tool Tube clips etc. provided by sponsors, or they are stolen videos waiting for someone to spot - unless you have a user monetization method that is not evident on first glance.

If so, I should sign up!!!! I can use a few hundred dollars more per month!

As I converse with fellow studios who shoot content, all I see around me is the carnage of economizing due to reduced revenue from sales of their videos and DVDs. It's getting harder for me to travel about as a content producer, because there's fewer compatriots who are not porn factories or Wal*Mart megasites. I am sure that I am going to need to stop traveling about Europe, because European Hotels cater to luxury minded tourists and business corporate travel. I just don't fit that as a content producer.

Too many sites keep giving away content, so they can sell advertising "traffic" to gullible newbies and wannabes, which typically is labeled here as "shit". Traffic from free view sites is not going to pay money on someone else's pay site.

There's too many familiar faces from here from 2005-2012 that are no longer here - nor on "other" forums.

There's too many "I need a new job" posts here, because Tube Sites have either put content studios and creative partners out of business, or in the one almost laughable case, a former Tube site accomplice got bit in the ass by the cancer that is Tube sites, after working giving away others' content for free.

So tell me that you have 2257 documentation for every "user" submitted clip on your site, with IDs that match the faces in the work, and model releases with signatures that match the IDs, and I'll believe that your content is "user submitted", or directly attributable to a sponsor supplied Tube clips that click through to sponsor sites with docs.

There's still those of us who lived thru the Republican witch hunt that was the 2257 raids of 2006-2008. Many studios and sites went out of business in fear, some operators committed suicide. The even darker side of that was those on here (and a couple of other forums of the day) who would cast aspersion on fellow content producers (shooters and editors, not just sites that sold or gave away free views of the videos) for shooting minors and/or having dodgy 2257 files.

Our friends at AEBN put an end to that in 2007, when they employed a legal staff to review and approve 2257 docs of EVERY title submitted to AEBN, including combing through their entire pre-existing inventory to that day in the summer of 2007, and going forward for every studio and content producer, including me.

While some - the most notorious being a no-longer-here shrill shrew who went off and started another forum - profited from their slanderous words in giving "free" legal advice to competitors, and labeling their competitive enemies as being "illegal", those of us who lived through the time, and still exist today always believed in the basic concept that we should "own" the content we sell, and we should have model releases and IDs to back it up.

    Committed suicide over 2257? REALLY?

    Yes, indeed!

You've been here since 2003? It says I joined in 2005, but I did belong to a webmaster forum in 2004 - that's where I read posts by Robert Sons and got started with AEBN, HotMovies and XOnDemand.

To this day, I cannot sort it out! Some transition happened in the spring/summer of 2005, or something happened with the accounting here. Lee always claimed that GWW was always the only one, but I met others long before 2005, and developed a short list of competitors who have been vitriolic ever since! There still is the gaywebmasters, without the 'wide', but that just never has looked familiar enough, unless they did some major change along the way.

In summer 2006 when PFL's alter ego announced that he had been raided by the FBI as the first studio to be inspected (?!?! is there an emoticon for rolling eyes/raised eyebrows/finger down throat gag me ), followed by more str8 and gay studios, there were reports that one or more operators of studios and sites that knew that they weren't 2257 compliant, either knowingly having under 18, or simply not having the right match of IDs and signed releases, who ended ended their lives to avoid prosecution or loss of livelihood.

But that's a tangent to the whole cancer that is giving away free content.
