What Will The TV Of The Future Look Like?

From an interface point of view? If anyone is following there is a rush to integrate the web and live tv. The latest comes from LG buying WebOS (palm OS) from HP.

My next question... Where does porn fit into to all of this?

What's happening in the UK is that viewing figures for the main terrestrial channels (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5) are holding up well. But the shift is towards timeshifting via the BBC's online iPlayer and similar. So schedules will become less important over time.

I don't think porn fits into any of these major services. They will never allow it and this is the danger of walled services. So porn on TV depends on people having access to the unfiltered internet somehow. However I don't think there's a rush to get the web on TV at all, except on the part of manufacturers who want to try and cash in.

People are quite happy to view different things on a range of devices and even more so now with tablets.
