I set up a chat room for us

I just quickly set up a chat page, is uses the IrCQ plugin and I set up a special channel just for us. Go to:

What do you think? If you click on the "float" button, you get a much better panel size. I think this would be a great place to start our chat session. Of course we will have to schedule something so that more of us can be online.

This is kind of a temporary setup since it is using the ICQ network and is not private at all, but I don't mind leaving it online. We should give it a good workout, maybe do the online chat about helping each other out with AVS/free sites? The only thing that needs to be decided is when most of us can meet.

How about Wednesday 14th July, in the evening. I just have to figure out what time works well. Anyone have a link to a world clock that tells exactly what time it is, taking into account daylight savings (is that going on in the northern hemisphere now?) This time stuff always confuses me!

I use trillian and it has a build in IRC chat program in it. Could I use that to connect to the chat room you made?

omg, those sites are nasty, I just clicked the 2nd one and got hit by spyware and popups..yuck! Then the w3 one is confusing as hell...

Thank gawd Bec is online, she just confirmed it is 12:38am EST which equals 2:38pm Brisbane time....so if we set our first official online chat to be at 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time, that works out to be 10:00 am Sydney/Brisbane time. Every one else can work out the relative time for themselves.

So pop a reminder in your calendar for:
Wednesday 14th July, 8:00 pm EST

I am sure you can, its on the ICR IRC channel, maybe you can get the info from looking at the connect screens when you hook up?
