Not sure why people are surprised when this happens. It always has done. Free hosting always disappears one day and so does all your SEO unless you've attached your own domain name to the site. Big corporations tend to buy up these these smaller services and quickly destroy them. Yahoo! did exactly the same thing with GeoCities, which also had adult content.

So, if you're using these services for your business, you should only ever look at them as a here-today-tomorrow thing for relatively short-term benefit. Nothing to rely on longer-term.

Apparently Yahoo couldn't stand the heat they were getting for their action and have retreated from their change of adult blogs!

Yesterday, Yahoo itself, Google and Bing were finding my Tumblr blog, but all 3 said "We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us.".

Today, Google is displaying the description, but Yahoo and Bing are still showing "We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us.".
